Medicare Advantage
As popular alternatives to Original Medicare, Medicare Advantage Plans are a type of health insurance plan that provides Original Medicare benefits through a private-sector health insurer.
Medicare Supplement
Medicare Supplement Insurance, also known as “Medigap”, fills in the blanks where Original Medicare may not provide coverage for healthcare services and supplies. A Medigap policy, sold by private companies, helps provide some of the remaining healthcare costs, like copayments, coinsurance, and deductibles.
Prescription Drug Plans
Medicare prescription drug coverage (Part D) is an optional benefit offered to everyone who has Medicare. These private plans (sometimes called "PDPs") add drug coverage to Original Medicare which doesn’t already include prescription drug coverage.
